Newsletter December 2016

December 21, 2016 | Uncategorized | No Comments

It seems I keep writing newsletters from our housesitting assignments. We have spent Christmas in Oxford, but we still managed to write a chapter of the next Guns n’ Boys book, “Bloodbath”. We have so much exciting stuff coming next year we can’t wait to throw ourselves right back into work.

In the Newsletter:

  • Cover reveal for “Hipster Brothel”
  • “The Black Sheep and The Rotten Apple” – Chapter One
  • Publishing plans for 2017
  • “Captive: Beautiful Monsters Vol.1” by Jex Lane
A late Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
-Kat &Agnes Merikan

P.S. Late Christmas greetings from the Royal Pavilion in Brighton 🙂

“Hipster Brothel”

COVER REVEAL

— The lumberjack of his dreams is now available for rent. —

Mr. B has always been a safe guy for Jo to crush on. He’s the cutest bearded lumber-god to salivate over. Add to that his friendly, outgoing personality, and Mr. B might just be the first guy Jo would be willing to kiss. Fortunately, Mr. B has been in a relationship for years, and Jo is no home-wrecker.

But when Mr. B breaks up with his partner and all of a sudden is single, available, and talks about his plans to be sexually adventurous, Jo isn’t so sure anymore if he has the guts to come out as bisexual.

After a sour breakup, Mr. B wants to show his ex that he’s independent, exciting, and can do very well without him. His best friend Jo is there to the rescue, and they come up with a great new business venture. One thing they lack to start their own line of artisanal boozy jams – money for the investment.

After a drunken brainstorming session, Mr. B finds a way to both gather the cash and show the middle finger to his ex. He will create a one of a kind Hipster Brothel – The Lumbersexual Experience – offering wood chopping lessons, pipe smoking, and a reclaimed wood bed where the magic happens. It’s bound to be a success… if only Mr. B can go through with it, because the mixed signals from Jo are making him wonder if his best friend is as straight as he always seemed.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS:

Themes: Hipsters, sex work, friends to lovers, bisexuality, post-breakup issues, coming out, first time, alternative lifestyles, lumbersexual bear, commitment

Genre: M/M contemporary romance

Length: ~50,000 words (standalone novel)

WARNING: Explicit content, strong language. A shameless amount of buzzwords. May cause second-hand embarrassment.

Comes out January 24th 2017
We had a ridiculous amount of fun with this book and we hope you will love it!

PINTEREST! 😀

“The Black Sheep and The Rotten Apple”

Have we mentioned this book yet? 😉 Probably only a million times! We’re just so ridiculously excited about it, and it’s already gotten some fantastic reviews. Check out Jewel’sand Judith’s.

And if you’re awaiting this book’s release as eagerly as we are (impossible ;)), we present… CHAPTER ONE!

Publishing plans for 2017~!

We’ve been asked about this a few times now, so with the disclaimer that our plans always change, shift, and move around, this is the ambitious version of our publishing plans for 2017.

January 4th – “I Love You More Than Pierogi” (PRE-ORDER) (Contemporary M/M)
January 24th – “Hipster Brothel” (Contemporary M/M)

February 7th – “The Black Sheep and The Rotten Apple” (Historical M/M)

March – “Guns n’ Boys: Bloodbath” (book 6) (M/M Suspense)

April – “Laurent and The Beast” (M/M Urban Fantasy, Time Travel)

May – “Bad Cop” (M/M Suspense – Sex&Mayhem book 10)

June – “Road to Redemption” (M/M Suspense Sex&Mayhem book 11, sequel to Road of No Return)

July – Guns n’ Boys book 7

August – Guns n’ Boys book 8

September – Sex&Mayhem book 12 (Most likely Monster’s book, so the California chapter)

October – Sex&Mayhem book 13 (Red Hot sequel)

November – ???

December – ???

And all that are ambitious plans that account for a massive monthly wordcount which we strive for, but we can’t be sure if we manage. AND then there’s always new plot bunnies assaulting us every now and then 😉

We’re also mulling over starting a Patreon for some super extra fun stuff we keep meaning to do, but never get round to. We’re excited about this, but we keep not being organized enough! We’ll keep you posted though on our progress.
